Obviously, Army or Navy veterans of WWII tell much different stories from veterans serving in different branches of the military in Korea, Viet Nam or Iraq. Much of what Americans know about war and the military has been learned from movies – glamorized or demonized depending on the political leanings of writers, producers and directors.
