Letter: Liability on 13th hole It is only a matter of time until someone golfing on the 13th hole is seriously injured or killed. People hitting drives longer than 170 yards cannot be seen from the tee box. I’ve had golf balls fly by me at least a dozen times and I have inadvertently hit into other groups.
I asked other golfers why a mirror, buzzer, traffic light, bell or other type of inexpensive safety device has not been installed. I was told the POA lawyer advised that if we put up some type of safety device we would be admitting some type of liability. If our lawyer thinks a hypothetical POA liability is more important than someone’s life, I think we need a new lawyer.
