Fireworks will be launched from Skipper's Island

     The fireworks show is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. Boaters are reminded to stay at least 400 feet from Skippers Island, the source of the fireworks’ ignition. The display has, on occasion, been interrupted when boats drifted or motored within an unsafe distance to the island; therefore, out of courtesy to the thousands of spectators around the community, boaters are asked to obey the orders of Marine Patrol and Canyon Lake Police Department, both of which will have a large presence on the Lake for the holiday.
