Here are some survival tips for your 4th of July. We would like your day to run as smoothly as possible because population is estimated at around 30,000. So it is important to plan ahead. • Due to the amount of traffic coming in from the Main Gate, we suggest guests use alternative gates. Tell your guests to have photo I.D. ready at the gate. • Holiday Harbor will be closed at 10 p.m. on July 3rd and will reopen at 6 a.m. on July 4th. All tables have been reserved by a lottery; however, you are welcome to bring your own tables and canopies and share the grass. • The annual fireworks show will be launched from Skippers Island at approximately 9 p.m. Longhorn Dr. will be closed off at Strawberry Ln. at 2 p.m. for easy emergency access. • The Pool will be closed at 8 p.m. Nobody is allowed in the Pool area after that time. • There will be zero tolerance for juveniles with alcohol, as well as strict enforcement of boating and driving under the influence laws. • Do not set off fireworks. They are illegal and you do not want to pay the $150 fine. Have fun watching the fireworks from a safe place and remember it is fire season. Canyon Lake POA hopes you have a fun and safe day with your family and friends. |
