Letter: Uplifting tournament

     Editor, The Friday Flyer:
Linda Blair’s fundraising golf tournament, held this past weekend, was a lot of fun and very uplifting as the passion from this Hollywood actor, who starred in “The Exorcist,” was exhilarating as she displayed her devotion toward helping abandoned and abused dogs! Unfortunately, a lot of dogs are being displaced during these hard times, but because of Linda Blair’s undertaking, more and more are now given a second chance.
Her zest touched my heart, and I’m hoping it was contagious amongst others as well, because all of us can make a difference by adopting, fostering or continuing to give to her cause.
I want to thank Mickey Gargalis and his wife, Priscilla, for organizing this event because, prior to the tournament, I had no idea this wonderful person existed! I recently adopted a dog and named him Lucky, since he was lucky enough to find a home. In turn, he is such a great dog I think I am the lucky one! Now you can see us walking the streets of Canyon Lake, better known as “Happy-Go-Lucky!” I’m hoping a second annual event will be considered for next year, but those that missed out and want to know more can visit her website at www.LindaBlairWorldHeart.Org.
