Letter: Senior Potluck and Dance Editor, The Friday Flyer:
We did it again! The Canyon Lake Senior Center was jumpin’ with intoxicating music and absolute frivolity last Sunday at the monthly potluck and dance. It was unimaginably better than last time! Oh . . . did we have fun!
Everyone enjoyed a combination of pop, oldies and country music. There was some “world-class” line-dancing going on there, too! A highlight of the evening was a rendition of “Proud to be an American,” by Kelly Marich, who has a “killer” voice. Other patriotic songs were sung, which did our poor hearts good. The 4th of July is coming, so it was a very patriotic event.
A drawing for dollars and a portable propane barbecue was held, resulting in two very happy winners! The food and flowers were fantastic as always. Do yourself a favor and join us in July for an entertaining evening!
