Former resident Glennis Anderson, 82, passed away on June 27. Glennis, a beloved wife, mother and grandmother, was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, on September 4, 1926. She graduated from Johnson High School and married Ken Anderson in 1948. They moved to Hawthorne, California and raised son, Ken, and daughter, Gail, then moved to Seal Beach, California in 1968.
Glennis was employed as a vault teller with Bank of America and retired with her husband, a former engineer with Northrop Grumman, to Canyon Lake. Glennis had many friends in Orange and Riverside Counties and spent her final months in San Clemente near her children, grandchildren and great grandchild.
Family members say Glennis will be dearly missed but will always remain in the hearts of those she touched with her kindness and humor.
Ken, her husband of 54 years, preceded Glennis in death. She is survived by son, Ken, and wife, Kathy; daughter, Gail, and husband, Alan; grandchildren, Chris, Nick, Annie, Kendall and Austin; and great grandchild, Charlotte.
Funeral services will be held at Riverside National Cemetery on Monday, July 6, 2009, at 11:30 a.m.
