Near and Far with The Friday Flyer: 'Bucket list'

     The four members of the “Canyon Lake Bucket List,” Jim Magill, Dick Fusco, Tad Barclay, and Jim Fossum, just returned from their first adventure – a golf trip to Idaho.      Jim says, “For those of you who never saw the Nicholson/Freeman movie, it was about two gentlemen diagnosed as terminally ill but who were still healthy enough to do whatever they wanted. They decided to make a list of things they wanted to do before they ‘kicked the bucket;’ hence, the name of the movie, ‘The Bucket List.’”
     According to Jim, none of the members of the Canyon Lake group are terminally ill but they liked the concept and decided to create their own “bucket list,” with the Coeur D’Alene Resort being first on their list.
     They flew to Idaho Monday, June 22, played the Resort Course on Tuesday and then another course, the Circling Raven, on Wednesday before returning on Friday.
     Jim says plans for the next Bucket List trip involve a trip to Ruidoso, New Mexico, where they will play golf at the Inn of the Mountain Gods Golf Course and attend the quarter horse races at the Ruidoso Fair Grounds.
