Near and Far with The Friday Flyer: Helping Jay Leno say goodbye

     The last Tonight Show program with host Jay Leno aired on Friday, May 29. Two Canyon Lake couples, Mike and Betty Cannavino and Sam and Joyce Theodora, carrying a copy of The Friday Flyer, were fortunate enough to attend the show’s memorable taping as Jay Leno said goodbye to his viewers to a resounding standing ovation.
     For Betty and Joyce, the event was made even more memorable when they were interviewed by NBC and appeared on its 5 o’clock news program. While the ladies were being interviewed, Mike and Sam were taking this photo at the show’s entrance with The Friday Flyer. Sam says, “We will be seen by thousands but they were seen by millions!”
