Events in the area
     • Neil Simon’s ‘Fools’ – The Temescal Canyon Spotlight Players will present Neil Simon’s “Fools” at 7 p.m. on December 3, 4, 5, 10, 11 and 12. Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for students.
“‘Fools’ is the equivalent to a clean Mel Brookes movie, only live onstage,” says Director Tara Miller. “The students studied farce and focused on the comedic delivery of Mel Brookes’ movies. After everything that happened last year, the department needed to laugh again. We have a lot of comedic geniuses. In fact, Kaylynn Arnett just auditioned for NYU in hopes of not only a degree, but a job at ‘Saturday Night Live.’ These kids never cease to amaze me because they are so versatile. They can pull off classical musical theatre, modern musical theatre, drama and comedy.  I am a proud mama.”
