Classic Car Show a big hit with visitors

     The 4th annual Canyon Lake Car Show on October 3 drew a field of more than 200 pre-1973 classic and custom cars. With perfect weather, there was a good crowd to enjoy the day’s festivities that included auctions and drawings. Sam and Terry Foose of Canyon Lake, and their son Chip Foose of “Overhaulin” fame, were on hand for an auction and drawing to raise funds for the Progeria Research Foundation. The pedal car pictured inset at left being painted by Sam Foose was auctioned for $1,750. Organizers are grateful for the support of the POA, Taco Del Mar and individual businesspersons in putting on the successful event. Photographs were provided by Bert Barbay and Roger Skougard.
