Lioness collecting aluminum tabs

The Canyon Lake Lioness Club will be taking aluminum tabs from beverage or soda cans for the Ronald McDonald House in Loma Linda on March 6.
This is an ongoing project for the Lioness, according to Joanna Spiller, who says, “It takes 1,276 pull-tabs to make one pound and last year the club delivered over 100 pounds.” Pull-tab donations come from organizations, individuals, corporations and businesses all over Riverside and San Bernardino counties.
Those who have saved their pull-tabs and would like to donate them to this worthy cause, should call Joanna at 244-1553, or deliver them to 23651 Cruise Circle Dr. as soon as possible.
The goal this year is to collect 20 million tabs from around the county. The money earned from this project is used to support Ronald McDonald House, which houses the families of children receiving treatments for cancer and other diseases at Loma Linda Children’s Hospital.
