ACCording to the ACC: Improvements

By Kathryn Bills
ACC Manger

Absolutely no construction can be commenced until an application and plans have been reviewed and stamped approved by the all-volunteer Architectural Control Committee (ACC) in writing. This includes, but is not limited to, concrete, fences, block walls of any sort, patios/covers, lakeside improvements and all new home construction.
Repair and replacement items such as painting your home (including the same color), repairing or replacing a fence or patio cover, driveway, etc., all require permits from the ACC, yet come at no cost to the Member.
The Architectural Control Department has a deadline for plan submission that is based on the Association’s “right to know” publication in The Friday Flyer. Plans requiring publication in The Friday Flyer, such as new improvements and lakeside related improvements must be in by Monday at 3 p.m. in order to be reviewed by the Committee 10 days following.
Repair/replace items like those listed previously must be in by Monday at 3 p.m. in order to be reviewed by the Committee on the immediate Thursday after.
Should you, the valued Member, have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call the ACC. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and we are happy to answer your questions via the phone or via e-mail at kbills@canyonlakepoa.com.
