Announcement: November to remember Eleven members of the Scarlet 0’ Hatters of Canyon Lake recently traveled via luxury chartered bus for three days in Monterey Bay and Carmel. “The local chapter of the Red Hat Society thoroughly believes in the philosophy expressed in Jenny Joseph’s poem, ‘When I’m An Old Woman I Shall Wear Purple,’ and manages to have a great time, enjoy each others’ company and make new friends whenever they get together,” says member Mickie Grant, who adds, “Dressed in their stylish purple outfits, outlandish red hats and as much ‘bling’ as possible, they attracted much attention as they visited the many restaurants and shops in the beautiful seaport towns.”
Pictured below at Bird Rock on the “17-Mile Drive” are Muriel Roxbury, Shellee Griffin, Mickie Grant, Rosalie Nusser, Donna Scott, Peggy Paluzzi, Lou Krohne, Mary Louise Zietler, Ginger Harris, Sandi Germain and JoAn Marshall.
Mickie says she brought a copy of The Friday Flyer for a picture but, unfortunately, left it in the hotel room. Sandy Germain made the arrangements for the November outing.
