Register to donate bone marrow

Canyon Lakers and their friends who would like to register as bone marrow donors for Pam Malcolmson’s grandson, Trevor Kott, pictured here, have a brief window of opportunity to do so free of charge through Valley Blood Services of Murrieta. Throughout April, people can join the national registry for free, thanks to a donation by the Bone Marrow Foundation of San Diego. The fee is normally $52. As noted in an article in last week’s The Friday Flyer, Trevor’s doctors have given the six-month-old little chance to survive without a bone marrow transplant. Valley Blood Services is located at 25115 Madison Ave., Suite 105, in the Murrieta Spectrum Center. To make an appointment or for more information call 1-800-469-7322, or go to www.valleybloodservices.org. For more information about Trevor, call Pam at 244-2926.
