Canyon Lake Community Theatre to present 'Back to the 70s'

     What music rocked your world in the 70s? The Carpenters or Joe Cocker? The Beach Boys or The Byrds? Joni Mitchell or Janis Joplin? There was a lot of variety wasn’t there? Even the names of these artists can evoke amazing memories and the Canyon Lake Community Theatre and Performing Arts Association plans to rekindle a few memories of its own when it presents “Back to the 70s,” a Valentine’s celebration. The fundraising event to take place at the Lodge on February 9, from 6 to 11 p.m., will include dinner and retro entertainment by Denise Holdsworth, Ron and Janice Myre and MaryAnne Stevens, among others. Tickets are $20 per person, with all proceeds benefiting the CLCT College Scholarship Fund. Dinner choices will be Chicken Marsala or Beef Tri-Tip. A no-host bar will be available.
