Attend tonight's 'Taste of Paradise' at the Lodge Tickets are still available and may be purchased at the door for tonight’s “Taste of Paradise” at the Lodge, from 7 to 10 p.m. Tickets are $25. The gala evening will include entertainment and appetizer samples courtesy of Amatos’s, Pepe’s, Rock It Tacos, BJ’s Restaurant and Brewery, Cold Stone Ice Cream, Sizzlin Steer, Panda Express, Pat and Oscar’s, Costco, Starbucks, Vons and Jules Wesselink’s Gouda Cheese. There will also be over 50 baskets for the silent auction, one of them being a ‘Home Improvement Basket’ worth $7,500, which includes $3,500 worth of ceramic tile and installation from Arizona Tile and Rod Ault, a patio cover or deck from Dale Heglund Construction, house painting by Greg’s Painting, plumbing by Nootbar Plumbing and interior design services from Lowry’s Interiors.” Some of the other auction items include a weekend trip to Las Vegas that includes two show tickets, hotel accommodations and $400 travel allowance; a seven-night vacation package to Orlando, including a three-night cruise in the Bahamas; a wakeboard, vest and rope; an airplane ride over Canyon Lake and the Temecula Wine Country; a date night limo ride with wine tasting and dinner for two; hot-air balloon rides – and much, much more. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Heart to Heart Foundation and Donate Life Organ and Tissue Donor Registry, in memory of two Canyon Lake sisters, Hollie and Kirsty Stanyon. A representative from the Tissue Donor Registry will be on hand for those who would like to register the night of the event. In addition, in order to allow guests to enjoy themselves and not have to worry about drinking and driving, Jayne Stanyon will serve as a designated driver and is making available six free tickets to others who believe no one should drink and drive and would like to serve as designated drivers that evening.
