Letter: Here we go again . . .

     Editor, The Friday Flyer:
Well, here we go again with the motorcycles. We didn’t ask you to move here; you chose to do so. You knew you couldn’t ride your motorcycles inside the gate.
Now let’s get some facts. The government says 85 decibels is detrimental to your ears. 85 decibels is a very loud noise. Who is going to decide how loud the motorcycles can be? When I drive down the freeway I don’t have any problem hearing motorcycles. They are noisy. If we have two or three cycles going down the street at the same time it is going to be very annoying. Just think how this is going to sound at 2 a.m. in the morning when we are trying to sleep. I already hear the motorcycles going up and down Vacation Drive at 2 a.m. I don’t need that every night. Who is going to buy the device that measures the decibels? We would need one at each gate. Next would be “we want to have our friends to be able to ride their bikes to our house.” Where does it stop? IF you are so unhappy I suggest that you move somewhere that they allows motorcycles. Eighty-two percent of us voted no motorcycles inside the gate. We like it that way.
